Where to Begin Your Journey to Success and Personal Growth
Where should you start Your personal growth journey? There are so many avenues and methods to grow and raise your consciousness, so where is the best place to start?
Begin with the NOW. Start by taking a look at where you are right now. Take inventory. Decide what things you like about your life right now and the things that aren’t working for you right now. What areas of your life lack the sparkle and joy that you desire to make this life your best life?
Start by looking around you, your immediate surroundings, your current thoughts and feelings and you general situation. Get a lay of the land. Assess and reassess. What areas of your life do you like? What areas do you dislike? Follow your feelings and instincts. Where are you in harmony or out of harmony with your life?
Even if you think you know where you want to improve, it’s really a good idea to look at your life from an outside perspective. You may think that you want to lose weight because that is what you’ve been obsessing about for many years but it might not be the right place to start. If you are stuck in an area of your life where you can’t seem to make progress, then you need to change your focus to another area that you could improve with less resistance.
Going back to the example of wanting to lose weight, if you can’t seem to lose weight despite the million diets you’ve tried, the exercise routines that just won’t stick and the carrot sticks and lettuce leaf meals that leave you ravenous, it’s because somewhere deep down, you are imbalanced in another area of your life. So it’s time to drop that pursuit and focus on finding your imbalances then readjusting them. Then you can pursue weight loss with joy and ease.
Seeking Balance – A good Place to Start
Here are a few steps to get you started on your pursuit of balance in your life. Whenever you are feeling out of sync with your life or you feel like circumstances are getting ahead of you, come back to this exercise. Do it daily for a month and watch how you gain power of your thoughts, you actions and your focus.
We all do this unconsciously on some level, but when you take the time to do it in a conscious and active manner, the results are much greater.
Step One: Get a Journal
Step Two: Now assess how you feel in various aspects of your life.
Step Three: Rate them according to your level of frustration
Step Four: List all the wonderful aspects of each category at the top of the list
Step Five: Get into your Now
But when you relax a little, laugh a little and see the positive and nicer aspects of your current life, then you’ll start seeing more positive and nice aspects of your life. If you are interested in more on the law of attraction, then you should read the Abraham-Hicks teachings of the law of attraction.
It won’t happen over night. Well, it could but it’d take a lot of opening up on your part. It’s about allowing yourself to be happy right where you are because what you have right now is really all that you really have. You don’t really have anything else other than your “now”.
Happiness begins with right now. Chose to be happy. Look at your life and say, yes, there is happiness here. I can add to that happiness in due time. But the game of life, that life-long journey is about getting happy and getting happy right here, right in the now.
